Amerijericho Free Barter Market

Christians in every nation need to be focusing on the importance of community unity! We need to be caring more about reaching lost souls and doing more for "the least of these" as explained by Christ!

Every church leader should start immediately to plan, organize, and promote a Free Barter Market
at least three or four times every year. This event can become a wonderful tradition where fellowship and witnessing opportunities can enhance friendship between Christians and their neighbors.

The first step is to join and advertise as a member! We want to show a photo of your church with street address, contact info, and location/date of your own market on the AFBM Member Churches page. Another good way to advertise AFBM events will be for members to use computers to send emails and use message boards on the Internet to tell the world what is being done. Potential participants might travel to several markets every year once they know where to go.

Our "1 Free & 9 Barter" concept simply means that people will give the church 1 free item for each 9 items of equal value that they bring to barter. The free items received by the church will be sold for cash or donated to needy friends for designated charitable purposes. Other than covering the cost of providing the market, all other donations can be used to help people in need!

There will ultimately be a long list of items made available by members who have the skills needed to create, produce or bargain-buy many different things that are needed or wanted by others. Examples might include canned food, fresh vegetables and fruit, nuts, honey, pastries, blankets, candles, works of art, furniture, clothing, garden tools, pottery, flowers, books – and much more!

when Christians gather together with their neighbors to make good things happen!
